Investors, M&A and dealmakers

Keep every firm's calendar honest without leaking a single deal.

Connect each firm's Google account. Tandem blocks the time on the others as plain Busy, so colleagues can't book over a confidential meeting and never see what it is.

A day in the life

A week of overlapping deals, kept apart

Sam is a partner at a fictional firm, Harbourline Capital, sits on a deal team at a second firm, and keeps a personal Gmail. Each has its own Google account, and colleagues at each firm book Sam directly.

Illustrative example. Sam, Harbourline and Juniper are made up. This is an illustration of the setup, not a customer story.

  1. Mon

A management meeting for a project codenamed Juniper goes on the Harbourline calendar. Tandem copies it to the other firm's calendar as a block titled Busy, with no description and no attendees.

  2. Tue

A colleague at the second firm looks for a slot on Thursday. Sam's Juniper time shows as Busy, so the colleague books around it.

  3. Wed

Sam opens Tandem's agenda: both firms' meetings and personal plans in one list, with a conflict flag on a pair of calls that overlap across accounts.

  4. Fri

The Juniper meeting moves. Tandem updates the Busy copy it made. It never edits or deletes anyone else's events.

How Tandem helps

Built for investors, m&a and dealmakers

Nothing leaks

Cross-post as Busy, and only as Busy

Cross-posting rules are set per pair of accounts. Pick Busy and the copy carries the time, nothing else. Use keyword exclusions to keep certain meetings off other calendars entirely.

  • Busy, neutral placeholder or full details, chosen per account pair
  • Keyword exclusions for meetings that should never be copied
  • Copies are private by default

Clear boundaries

Tandem only edits the copies it made

Every event Tandem creates is tagged. It will update or delete those, and only those. Your originals and your colleagues' events are never touched, and turning a rule off removes its copies.

  • Tagged copies, so Tandem can tell its events from yours
  • Rules can be switched off any time
  • Disconnect an account whenever you like

One view

Every firm's day in one agenda

See all your accounts together, with cross-account clashes flagged. The same invite on two firms' calendars shows once, so the list stays readable.

  • Conflicts only when they span two or more accounts
  • Pick which calendars count; shared calendars start off
  • Sync every 10 minutes, or on demand

Right calendar, every time

A booking link per firm

Create event types for each firm. Each one books into that firm's calendar, while availability is still checked across all of your accounts.

  • Event types grouped by account on your page
  • Custom questions before a booking
  • Minimum notice and daily limits

Recommended setup

How to set it up

A setup that keeps deal work private:

  • Connect each firm's Google account and your personal Gmail
  • Cross-post between firms as Busy, never full details
  • Add keyword exclusions for codenames you never want copied
  • Skip all-day and declined events so blocks stay accurate
  • Create one event type per firm, booking into that firm's calendar

Some of these, like cross-posting rules and more than two accounts, are on Pro. Join during the beta and get Pro free for at least six months. Compare plans

Questions

What does Tandem store about my meetings?
Calendar metadata such as times, titles and locations, cached for a rolling window of about 7 days back and 60 days ahead. Event descriptions aren't stored. Your Google refresh tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM.
Can Tandem change or delete my real meetings?
No. Tandem only creates, updates or deletes the copies it made, which are tagged as Tandem copies. Everyone else's events are left alone.
Will colleagues at one firm see who I'm meeting at another?
Not if you cross-post as Busy. The copy shows the time as busy with no title, description or attendees from the original.
Does Tandem have security certifications?
Not today. We'd rather tell you exactly how it works: see the Security page for encryption, storage and access details.
